Business Analyst – Allstar Technology - Dallas Office

We are seeking a Business Analyst position at Allstar Technology. Your primary responsibility will be to act as a liaison between the product owners and the development team by gathering requirements, asking questions to understand problems, and leading meetings that build toward solutions. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and experienced in both IT and insurance. Position will be located out of our Flower Mound, Texas office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops, manages and monitors the company’s claim related policies, practices, workflows, and procedures to secure optimum utilization of resources
  • Lead daily stand-up meetings with the development team
  • Monitor progress throughout each sprint and report potential setbacks to management
  • Gather requirements and ask thought-provoking questions to ensure the root causes are being addressed prior to a solution being discussed and implemented
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues
  • Maintain and enhance current processes to ensure development team is run at optimal level while ensuring quality
  • Capture and maintain metrics throughout the sprint cycle

SKILLS:

  • Minimum 3 years of P&C insurance experience required
  • Personal lines P&C insurance is preferred
  • Familiar with Agile process
  • Good communication skills and ability to ask tough questions
  • Ability to translate and communicate business and technical needs
  • Problem solving skills
  • Self-motivated individual that promotes the process
